John is a Building Performance Scientist specializing in the Building Thermal Boundary for high performance new and renovation construction, residential and commercial. He consults with owners, architects and builders on residential and commercial projects, writing construction specifications and inspecting for performance verification of field installations. He continues to develop and implement construction methodologies to achieve High Performance Building Thermal Envelopes at reduced cost.

He owns and operates two businesses. Murphy’s Zero Energy Building, Inc through which he does teaching, consulting, problem diagnostics, design specifications, construction methodology development, inspections for performance verification, etc. Murphy’s CELL-TECH, LLC through which he implements construction methodologies serving the construction industry.
